Former Fort Frances Sabre A.J. Wensley scored the game's only goal, coming in the shootout, as the Sioux Lookout Flyers beat the Fort Frances Lakers 1-0 at the Ice for Kids Arena last night.

The Lakers were outshot 47-27 with goaltender Jameson Shortreed stopping three shoot-out attempts by the Flyers before Wensley's game winner.


Two new records have been established in the Arrowhead UltraMarathon.

Zach Gingerich of Illinois was the first runner-walker to finish the 135 mile event last night in about 38-hours, shattering the old mark set in 2008 by 2-and-half hour.

Janice Tower of Alaska was the first women biker to finish, completing the course in record time of 26-hours and 46 minutes.
