Local Sports For Wednesday March 13

Two from Ray, Minnesota, are almost six teams remaining in the John Beargrease Sled Dog race from Grand Marias to Duluth.

Keith Aili has pulled back to second, 20 minutes back of the leader Nathan Schroeder of Chisholm.

Amando Vogel is fourth as the teams completed the seventh stage last night.



Fort Frances Lakers wrap up their regular season with a game tonight in Thunder Bay.

No dates have yet been announced for the playoffs, but its believed the Lakers-Dryden series will begin sometime next week.



Team Iron Range stunned Team Duluth 6-4 in the first game of an all-star series featuring the best high school hockey from those regions.

Lucas Debenedet of International Falls had a goal and assist for Iron Range.

Game two of the series goes tonight in Duluth.



Rainy River Voyageurs men's baseball team faces Waynesburg of Pennsyvania in its first exhibition of a Florida trip.
