Local Sports For Tuesday December 10

Fort Frances Muskies curling teams have swept a per-qualifying bonspiel held in Atikokan.

Both the Muskies boys skipped by Reece Jones and girls teams skipped by Hailey Beaudry ended the event with perfect 4-0 records.

The mixed team finished first with a 3 and 1 record.

Fort Frances will host the next bonspiel at the end of January.



International Falls Broncos girls basketball team made it two straight with 69-48 road win over Chisholm.

Teagan Anderson led the Broncos with 15 points.

Cassie Tomazak and Tena Sullivan each chipped in 10.



Fort Frances Lakers have fallen a couple of spots in the weekly Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.

The Lakers are now ranked 6th in the country, down from the 4th spot they held last week.

The Lakers are in Ear Falls tonight to face the expansion English River Miners.
