Local Sports Fort Thursday December 5

Weather is having an impact on some local sports today.

NorWossa court games involving the Fort Frances Muskies boys basketball and girls volleyball teams against Kenora  have been canceled.

The games will be replayed at another day.


Fort Frances Lakers will end a three-game home stand tonight with a game against the Minnesota Iron Rangers.

The Lakers head into the game with a 5-game win streak and a solid 11 point lead on Thunder Bay for first.

The Rangers are holding down third spot but are coming off a pair of road losses to English River on the weekend.



Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team is heading to Brandon for the start of a weekend tournament.

The Muskies are scheduled to play their first game tonight against Neepewa.



International Falls Broncos boys basketball team travels to Hibbing.



The Fort Frances Women's Volleyball League has cancelled its games scheduled for tonight because of weather.

They will be made up at the end of the year.

Play will resume next week.
