The Fort Frances Lakers received a win last night as they defeated the English River Miners 5-2.

Scoring for the Lakers were Mason Meyer, Lydon Lipinski, Miles Nolan, Brent Aitken and Cameron Jackson.

The Lakers continue action at the SIJHL showcase today with a game against Dryden.



Rainy River Voyageurs Men's and Women's basketball teams both took to the court last night against Northland.

But teams suffered losses.

Northland defeated the men's team 92-87 and the women's team 53-43.
