Local Sports for Monday May 30


Rod Woodgate and his grandson Dylan Swire are this year's winners of the Emo Walleye Classic.

The duo led after day one, but Swire admits they were a little worried about their fishing on the final day.

Their combined catch of 19.67 lbs was almost two-full pounds over Ted Heyens and Kelvin Caul.

International Falls Broncos boys baseball team lost 11-4 to Deer River Saturday to close out its regular season.

The Broncos will start play in the Section 7AA tournament Wednesday.




Stock car racing at Emo Speedway was washed out for a second straight week.

The Borderland Racing Association will try to get its season started next Saturday.




The Borderland Soccer League will try to get its season started tonight, weather permitting.

The women's division will open play with two games.

Boston Pizza playing Taggs Source for Sports and Al's Racket Stringing up against the Rendez-Vous Voyageurs under 18 team.

The men are on the field tomorrow.
