Local Sports for Thursday May 26

The Fort Frances Muskies boys soccer team will be heading to the all-Ontario high school championships.

The Muskies defeated Kenora's Beaver Brae 1-0 in the final for the NorWossa title.

OFSAA's begin next Wednesday in Windsor.

Meantime, the girls team was defeated in a semi-final game by Dryden 2-1.



Falls High School girls track team finished first overall at the sub-section meet.

It's the first title for the girls since 2006.

The boys team just missed out on a first place finish, placing second, just 7 points back of Virginia.



In little league play in the Falls, Moose Lodge defeated Elks Lodge 11-3.



The last two remaining unbeaten clubs in the Rainy River District will look to extend their streaks tonight.

Stratton hosts Manitou while the Big Grassy Lighting take on Barwick.

Both have won three straight to start the season.

Elsewhere it's the Warriors playing Sight and Sound.

Rainy River travels to Northwest Bay.

The Big Grassy Braves are at Big Island.
