Local Sports for Wednesday May 25

Stratton and Big Grassy Lightning remain as the only undefeated teams in the Rainy River District Fastball League.

Stratton won its third straight with a 9-3 decision over previously unbeaten Barwick.

The Lightning went to 3-and-oh with a 7-5 win over the Braves.

Elsewhere, Beef's Warriors defeated Big Island 16-6.

Sight and Sound blanked Rainy River 12-0.

Manitou beat out Northwest Bay 12-3.



Gunnar Anderson had a two-run blast as the International Falls Broncos boys baseball team defeated Littlefork 10-1.


International Falls Broncos girls softball team has been eliminated from the Section 7-AA playoffs.

The Broncos lost 11-6 to Eveleth-Gilbert in a first round game yesterday.



In girls softball action in the Falls, Cine 5 out scored Mannco Trucking 16-5.



Fort Frances Muskies boys and girls soccer teams are in Kenora for the NorWossa playoffs.

Both are playing semi-final games against Dryden this morning with the winners to meet Kenora teams in the afternoon finals.



The Fort Frances Muskies football team has started its spring camp.

The team is holding scrimmages at the school each night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. until June 3, excluding this weekend.

All students attending high school next school year are welcome to attend.
