A new coaching job for Fort Frances Lakers bench boss Wayne Strachan.

He's been given the task of coaching a northwestern Ontario under 16 team that will competed in next May's OHL Gold Cup tournament.

Strachan says the new role won't interfere with his regular duties with the Lakers.




The girls volleyball season is underway for the International Falls Broncos.

The Broncos defeated Mountain-Iron Buhl 3 sets to one.




First day of fishing gets underway this morning at the International Falls Bass Classic.

First place money of  $10-thousand is up grabs.

Weighs will take place at 4 pm at Smokey Bear Park.
