Local Sports For Thursday August 16

Fort Frances Lakers have lined up four exhibition games to help coaches evaluate the teams going into this year's SIJHL season.

Games will be at the Ice for Kids Arena September 7 against the Dryden Ice Dogs and September 15 against the Minnesota Wilderness.

The Lakers will make road trips to Dryden September 8 and Cloquet to play the Wilderness September 16.




Sight and Sound Wolves make their first appearance at this year's North American Fastpitch "A" World Series in Topeka, Kansas today.

The Wolves, with additions from other teams in the Rainy River District Fastball League, open the tournament with a game this evening against the Marquette Fence of Michigan.




A special night of go-karting in Emo tonight, weather permitting.

Racing begins at 7 pm as part of the Fair.
