Local Sports For Tuesday October 16

Fort Frances Lakers had their 4-game winning streak snapped with a 7-5 loss at the hands of the Dryden Ice Dogs in Dryden.

Colton Spicer, Ethan Brekke, Alex Bruess, Jordan Christianson and Jon Carlson provided the Lakers scoring.

The Lakers are home to the Minnesota Iron Rangers on Thursday.



For the second straight week, a member of the Fort Frances Lakers has been named player of the week in the SIJHL.

Merritt Rysavy had four goals and five points in the Lakers two wins on the weekend.

Netminder Tanner Hamilton won the award a week ago.
