Local Sports For Tuesday October 2


The new Fort Frances Muskies junior football team defeated the International Falls Broncos junior varsity squad 34-20.

Offensive Coach Doug DeBernardeaux says it's was a great showing.

The team will play again Saturday in Dryden.




A member of the Fort Frances Muskies senior football team has been named offensive player of the week in the Winnipeg High School Football League.

Cameron Gobeil had 14 carriers for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Muskies win last week against Tec Voc.



International Falls Broncos girls volleyball team lost in a 3-set match to Hibbing.




The start of the new Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League has been pushed back a week.

It will start October 10 due to a conflict with use of the Fort Frances High School this week.

More than 50 women signed up to play.
