Fort Frances Lakers have moved into third place in the SIJHL.

A two goal - two assists performance, including the game winner, from Kevin Kurm sparked the Lakers to a 6-3 win over the Dryden Ice Dogs last night at the Ice for Kids Arena.

Owen Stauber, Davis Smith, Jon Carlson and Mason Meyer also scored for the Lakers who moved a point ahead of the Dogs.




Fort Frances Muskies court teams travel to Kenora for a series of games against Beaver Brae.

The Muskies won three of four games in their last meeting with the Broncos




International Falls Broncos football team is in quarter-final action in the Section 7AAA championship with a game against Virginia.

That game is being played at Broncos Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.
