A pair of big wins for the La Place Rendez-Vous Voyageurs under 18 soccer teams.

The women's team beat Boston Pizza 5-1 to capture finish the regular season first overall.

Nicole Avis scored three times while Jess Caul added two others.

Allison Brown had BP's lone marker.

On the men's side, Voyageurs scored a 1-nil upset win over Pharmasave to advance to the semi-finals next week.

International Falls has been eliminated from the State VFW baseball championship on the first day of the event, dropping its opener 3-0 to Hutchison, then falling 10-5 to Brainard.
