Elsewhere in the Rainy River District Fastball League, Sight and Sound out slugged the Sabaskong Lakers 14-6.

Couchiching doubled up the Sabaskong Cubs 4-2.

Beefs Warriors defeated Northwest Bay 9-3.

Rainy River got by Dawson 15-13.

Stratton beat Big Island  9-4.



Fort Frances native Steve Arpin failed to qualify in the final of yesterday's Global Rallycross race in New Hampshire.

His car stalled in the first lap of a  qualifying heat while battling for second and was forced to retire early.

He next races in Bristol, Tennessee July 20.
