Local Sports For Monday February 3

A Super Bowl performance of their own for the Fort Frances Aquanauts.

Adam Stromberg captured seven gold and a silver at a regional event in Thunder Bay on the weekend to be named the individual high point award in his division.

Josh Cousineau brought home 2 gold, 2 silver and a bronze.

Ayianna Gagne, Regan Danylchuk and Lyndsi Wilson each won bronze medals.



Fort Frances curling rinks failed to make the playoff rounds of the Northern Ontario bantam curling championships in Sault Ste. Marie.

Both the Chris Silver rink and the Hailey Beaudry foursome finished with 3 and 4 records and a tie for fourth place in their respective divisions.



Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team swept by Red Lake on the weekend, winning 13-2 Friday and 18-2 on Saturday.



Falls Hall School action from the weekend saw the Broncos boys hockey team lose to Eveleth-Gilbert on Friday 6-3.

The Broncos boys basketball team beat Big Fork Friday 73-43.



Rainy River Voyageurs basketball teams were swept by Central Lakes on Saturday.

The men lost 104-63 while the women were dropped 104-72.
