Local Sports For Wednesday March 5

Fort Frances Lakers will finish the season as the fifth ranked junior A club in Canada.

The Canadians Junior Hockey League has announced its final set of 20 top.

The Lakers, who will finish first in the SIJHL, entered the weekly rankings back in October, reaching as high as number 5.



Registration for youth soccer in Fort Frances continues tonight and tomorrow at the Memorial Sports Centre.

Sign-up both days is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Meantime, coaches in several divisions are still being sought.
