Local Sports For Thursday February 13

Lucas Debenedet, Mason Meyer and Lyndon Lipinski combined for 10 points as the Fort Frances Lakers rolled to a 6-2 win over the Ice Dogs last night in Dryden.

Debenet had a goal and 3 assists while Meyer and Lipinski each added a single and two helpers.



Jaymee Fiset added to her league leading goal total, netting three in Main Street Mayhem's 5-1 win over the Boston Pizza Ball Blasters in the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League.

In the other game, Sydney Radigan scored twice as the Cater 2 U Queens doubled up Wright Physiotherapy Rockettes 4-2.



NorWossa finals in boys basketball and girls volleyball go today at Fort Frances High School.

The Muskies have byes to the finals in junior boys basketball and junior girls volleyball.

The senior boys basketball and senior girls volleyball teams face Kenora in semi-final action this morning at 11:30.



Rainy River Owls have claimed the NorWossa A championship in junior girls volleyball.

They defeated Kenora's Thomas Aquinas Saints 3 games to 2 in the final held in Kenora yesterday.

The Owls were also up against the Saints in senior girls volleyball and junior boys basketball, but had to settle for silver in both games.
