Local Sports For Wednesday February 12

Fort Frances Muskies girls hockey team ran its NorWossa record to 14 and 0 with a 4-1 win over Dryden.

The Muskies boys hockey ended the home schedule of its NorWossa season with an 8-4 win over Kenora's Beaver Brae.



The season for the International Falls Broncos girls hockey team has come to an end.

Broncos lost 1-0 in double overtime to Hibbing in the semi-final of Section 7A championship.



The Broncos boys hockey team was beaten 7-1 by Roseau.

On the court, the Fort Frances Muskies boys basketball and girls volleyball teams earned a sweep in games against Kenora's Beaver Brae Broncos to conclude their regular season.

The junior girls volleyball team also won an extra make up contest over Beaver Brae.

They now prepare for the NorWossa finals that go tomorrow.



Rainy River Owls play in three of four NorWossa A finals today.

The Owls will face Kenora's Thomas Aquanis in junior boys basketball and senior and junior girls volleyball.



Fort Frances Lakers are in action in Dryden in an SIJHL contest.

Lakers are 9-1 in the season series, winning eight straight since the series opener back in September.



The Main Street Mayhem will be looking to make it three straight at they host the Boston Pizza Ball Blasters in one of two games in the Borderland Women's Indoor Soccer League.

The other game sees the Cater 2 U Queens facing the  Wright Physiotherapy Rockettes.
